Max Verstappen secured pole position for the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, edging out Charles Leclerc, following his sprint race victory.

As Red Bull and Max Verstappen dominated the Singapore Grand Prix with both a sprint win and pole position, Britain's George Russell experienced a setback. His already slim championship hopes took another hit after he crashed out of the sprint race on the Marina Bay street circuit.
Verstappen's pole lap was impressive, beating Ferrari's Charles Leclerc to second place by a mere five-hundredths of a second, marking the Dutchman's strongest performance of the season. This was his 50th pole, his first in Singapore, following a pole and win at the previous round in Malaysia, as well as a pole and sprint victory at Marina Bay.
